Istanbul BİLGİ is one of the first foundation universities of Turkey. In the past fifteen years, BİLGİ became a deep-rooted university with its own traditions and the notion of absolute academic freedom has become a major part of our institution culture.

A city university with four central campuses on the European side of İstanbul. The main Santral Campus situated on a green field of 118 decrees on the shores of Haliç, accessible from every part of the city, an arts and cultural complex within educational environment and encompasses Turkey's first power plant, which is an Energy Museum today.

Bilgi represents a sound and distinct attitude in the academic and intellectual life in Turkey with more than 20,000 students, more than 40,000 graduates and 1,500 academicians. Also, it is the only member in Turkey of world’s leading university network Laureate International Universities since 2006. BİLGİ has more than 300 agreements with over 160 universities in 22 European countries only as part of Erasmus Program.
